I believe a person's attitude toward health and fitness is one of the most important elements when embracing a healthy lifestyle. Many people find numerous reasons why they cannot exercise...that is why I am here to show you no excuses exist for not exercising. I practice what I preach, so I lead by example to motivate my clients to push a little harder and dig a little deeper. The results: my clients find empowerment and embrace a healthier lifestyle. I believe my job is not done until my clients can create a healthy lifestyle on their own. "Be good to yourself - you deserve it!" I am involved in the community, serving as an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Board of Directors from 2017-2022. I have been a member of the Benicia Soroptimist (an international club whose mission is to improve the lives of women and girls) since 2007, serving as President and board member. I enjoy giving back to the community that has been supportive of my business since 2002.

I’m Esther, a fitness enthusiast who’s passionate about helping others lead a healthier lifestyle. After having kids, I struggled with losing the 35 pounds I had gained. For 16 years, I tried different diets and exercise routines, but nothing seemed to work in the long run. I kept at it, fighting through all of the failures, until I came to a point where I was able to fully commit myself to a new lifestyle. Since then, I’ve been on a journey to better health and fitness.
I believe that fitness is not only about losing weight or looking good; it’s about living a longer and healthier life. As someone who has been through the ups and downs of weight loss, I understand how challenging it can be. That’s why I’m committed to helping others achieve their fitness goals.
Whether you’re looking to lose weight, build muscle, or simply lead a healthier lifestyle, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to make your fitness journey a success!

Joel Griffin started Griffin Fitness with partner Lisa McVeigh in Benicia, when they opened their doors on June 10, 2002 for the purpose of meeting the needs and wants that a traditional gym, box, or club could not offer. Joel shared his vast knowledge with his partner and was a highly successful and unique trainer. He helped to improve the lives and bodies of many clients he trained throughout the years. He worked with athletes of all ages in many sports and levels to help give them the edge they needed. He trained every type of individual, but was passionate in guiding young athletes to strive to be and do their best. He was a tough trainer and was not afraid to push his clients to empower them to their best. His motto was "if it's easy - it's not worth it". We all miss Joel and his sense of humor but he lives on in all of us through what he taught us.
